About Rick lee

Rick Lee has worked as a professional photographer in Charleston, West Virginia for more than 25 years. 

Rick grew up in St. Albans, WV and graduated from Chowan College in Murfreesboro, NC. He was awarded Chowan College Photography Student of the Year. He has extended training from Rochester Institute of Technology, the Professional Photographers of America School and West Virginia State College.

Returning to his home state of West Virginia, he accepted a position as staff photographer for the West Virginia Department of Culture and History and in 1980 was promoted to Director of Photography Services. He was responsible for the management and production of the state's photography relating to arts and humanities, the state archives and historic preservation.

In 1984, Rick started his commercial photography business, specializing in advertising illustration, corporate image and architectural photography. His work has appeared in many national and regional magazines but the majority of his work comes through the top advertising agencies in the region, serving business and industry with a special emphasis in health-care marketing.
